Terms & Condition U-01
PREREQUISITES
- A minimum of 70% marks is required in the last three years of the academic journey.
- Family should be financially deserving.
- Applicants applying for the support must have their personal mobile phone.
- Applicants applying for university support must have secured at least 30% scholarship from their university.
- Applicants should not be taking any drugs, chalia, pan, gutka, cigarettes or involved in the buying and selling of them.
SHARED RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities of Kiran Foundation:
Kiran Foundation would be responsible (unless otherwise indicated) for:
- Taking applications for URAAN.
- Reviewing the academic progress and eligibility of URAAN applicants.
- Conducting interviews and evaluation of applicants with the education committee of KF.
- Maintenance of records related to the URAAN program.
- Providing financial aid in Fee (some designated amount will have to be paid by the family), courses and uniform (only in case of single mothers, physically or mentally challenged and sickly parents).
- Making URAAN offer letters in respect to deserving criteria.
Responsibilities of parents/guardians:
The applicant and their parents/guardians will be responsible for scanning and submitting the following documents online:
- A scanned copy of the Marksheet and report cards of the past three years.
- A scanned copy of extracurricular certificates and achievements received in the past three years (if any).
- A scanned copy of the ‘B’ form.
- A scanned copy of the National Identity Card of the applicant (if 18).
- A scanned copy of the National Identity Card of the parents/guardians.
- A scanned copy of a parent’s divorce or death certificate in case of a single parent.
- One passport size photograph of the applicant.
- A scanned copy of the college/university offer letter/challan or any proof of admission.
- At the time of the interview, you will have to bring a hard copy of the aforementioned documents in ONE labelled and enclosed A4 size envelope.
- You will need to go through our Zakat eligibility process.
- You will need to submit the fee vouchers at least 7 working days before the deadline. Any late submission fee will need to be paid by the guardian.
- You will need to pay the assigned percentage of the total fees in the provided time duration.
- You will need to reach for the interview five minutes before the given time (upon missing an appointment, the request will be cancelled).
- You will be expected to avail any training for capacity building to be able to excel in your academics.
- You will have to keep your contact details up to date. Any change of phone numbers if not reported to us will be considered as an irresponsible act. This type of behaviour may result in terminating the URAAN support.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- You should have graduated from a registered board with a minimum of overall 70% marks. An extracurricular achievement portfolio adds up to merit.
- You should have cleared a college/university admission test and interview on total merits.
- You should be financially deserving.
- You should be committed to continue university until any unprecedented situation.
- You should be able to write a 200 word letter/essay at the time of interview.
THE URAAN SUPPORT
After you have been approved for the URAAN support:
- You will receive an offer letter.
- You may accept or reject the offer letter in the provided time. If we do not hear from you within two working days, the offer will be cancelled automatically without any notice.
RETAINING THE FINANCIAL AID
After you have gone through our process, you will need to abide by the following to be able to retain your support:
- Maintain the grades (at least 70%),
- Maintain at least 90% attendance
- Practice positive behaviour, excellent hygiene and academic seriousness invariably.
- Promptly respond to any queries asked by us.
- Adhere to Kiran Foundation’s academic and administrative policies.
TERMINATION OF THE URAAN SUPPORT
The following actions can cause a termination of your enrolment from the URAAN Program.
- Providing false documents.
- Misconduct & inappropriate behaviour.
- Less than 90% attendance at college/university.
CONSEQUENCE
- If your URAAN enrolment is terminated, you will not receive further payments. You may be asked to return the financial aid amount expended on you.
- If any complaints are received from the college or university, you will be asked to pay a one month fee as a fine and will receive a warning letter.
